I officially stink.

So today was my day 1 of the 30 Day Shred.

I barely made it past the warmup. The second exersize was squats, and my ankle did not appreciate it. FAIL.

All that being said, I still (halfway) consider this a success. I got the DVD out of the box, actually put it in the player, laid out my yoga mat, and did it. I didn't make it all the way through ( I stink) but I still raised my heartrate, and did more physically than I have all year. All in 15 minutes.

I'll try it again on Thursday, with an easy goal of making it further than I did today! Maybe one of these days I'll actually be able to complete a workout!

I need some encouragement... I'm not used to being this out of shape. :( Pin It

That workout kicks your butt hardcore. It gets easier the more you do it. My favorite part was the punching, since I envisioned punching her in the face. Helped me get through it.

You DO NOT stink! You did more than you did the day before. That's all that counts. You won't get anywhere if you don't remember, "just a little more than the day before." :-)

GO MYA!

:)

The Shred is not easy. So take it as a first step. I barely made it through my first Shred workout, and I totally didn't do it correctly. I took way too many 5 (cough 30 cough) second breaks. I think by the third day I could complete the whole thing no problem (although still a huge workout). I could never get through the second phase though - about 12 days in I had serious ankle issues. I ended up tearing my Achilles tendon. I've been screwed up ever since. Which completely sucks since in those 12 days I had some crazy physical body changes that were wonderful.

So PLEASE, be careful with the jumping exercises, and make sure you stretch, stretch, stretch!

You can do it! I'm having a hard time with my post baby body as well but like someone told me "It took you 9 months to get this way, give yourself 9 months to get it back!"

Just keep up with it and it will get easier!
