All Night long

Sing it with me, All night long!

I am proud to announce that my little man spent ALL NIGHT in his very own bed, in his very own room! Yay!!

Did he sleep all night long, no. We'll work on that next. BUT He only woke twice to eat (1 am and 4 am. trust me when I tell you that the 4 am feedig SUCKS.) And each time I dragged my tired behind up the stairs and across the house to feed him in the glider. He woke up a 3rd time at 6 am (which is when we get up, so I don't really count that) and I sent Scott up to get him. I just couldn't face the stairs again.

One thing I noticed at each waking his poor little hands were freezing! The rest of him was warm enough, and its not like we had the airconditioner on or anything. So I think that may be one reason he kept waking. But what can I do? He uses his hands WAY too much to put mittens on him. How would he hold his lovey?

I was on the bump yesterday and someone was talking about using a heated rice sack as a blanket for their baby. I think it would be great to sort of heat up his bed before he's in it. Create a warm little nest for him, if you will. Have any of you tried this? Does it work? I am thinking about making one, but I'd love your thoughts! Pin It

I don't have any experience with the rice sack but I used to put a heating pad down to warm the crib mattress just a bit before I put her on it. She seemed to appreciate it. :)
