This is the other side of the new kitchen. Our fridge is bigger than the one pictured, and that stove doesn't work properly. So we'll be getting a new one! Eventually, the cabinets will be an espresso color (using gel stain) and this will be granite with an in counter cooktop, venting microwave and a pantry added on to the far left. Oh, and good bye ugly brass chandelier!

One Gorgeous Family!

There is a family that we consider to be our good friends, and they have a daughter just 8 weeks older than Wyatt. We've known them for a few years now. Lensa and I were lucky enough to be pregnant together (obviously) and Scott and Dave have a friendly Packers/Vikings rivalry. Little Miss Hosanna goes to my friend Colleen for daycare, so she and Wyatt get to play pretty often. I've posted pictures of Lensa, Dave and Hosanna before. Lensa and her family went and saw Kacy this week! Here are a few of my faves from their shoot!

I am a horrible slacker, and I offer up my deepest apologies.

The whole world kinda faded away for me over the holidays. I wasn't ignoring just you, my dear blogosphere, I was ignoring everyone. With all the time off that Scott had, we were spending more time together as a family. Then last week was spent prepping for the January bridal show. More on that later!

But here we are, in January, and I'm back! I already have a few posts just itching to be written, and some fabulous photos to share. I also have a giveaway in the works, but I don't want to let the cat out of the bag, until its finalized!

So here is my official apology, and my sincere promise to blog! Pin It

I got an award!

I was given the Honest Scrap Award by Stacey.

So this means I have to share 10 Honest Facts about me, and then pass the torch to 7 other bloggers!

1. My left index finger is double jointed, I can bend it back to touch the back of my hand.
2. I have been known to cry at just about anything - tv shows, movies, commercials, songs on the radio.
3. I wear a bracelet on my right wrist that says "forgiven". I never taken it off in the 6 years I've had it.
4. One of my biggest regrets is not contiuing to college right out of high school. I feel like (career-wise) I have wasted the last 8 years of my life.
5. I own almost every book ever written by Nora Roberts. Its kind of an obsession.
6. I could watch (and do) NCIS for hours.
7. I grew up in a rough part of town, people were shot in my driveway, the house next door was a meth lab, and the neighborhood was run by gangs. My parents made sure I went to schools outside our district, otherwise, I think I would have been sucked into that life.
8. I roll my eyes at everything my husband says.
9. I always aspire to be greater than I am, but always fall short (or feel like I do).
10. Deep down, I truly do feel unworthy.

Baby Gifts from Blogging Buddies!!!

Samantha sent us the most awesomest (yes, its a word. If it isn't, it is now) baby toy for Webster!!! We had our own mini gift swap, and it came today!

The Lamaze Octotunes! Each tentacle plays a different note. Also, its scented!! The plush toy gives off a calming vanilla scent. I seriously love this thing!!!

Cupcake Swap! - With Pics!!!!

Yesterday I went to my first cupcake swap! It was so neat, and the cupcakes were all so yummy! The deal was, everyone had to bring 30 cupcakes. Well, over 30 people came, so we had well over 1000 cupcakes! Needless to say, I had some leftovers to share with Scott.

An Item of Clothing:

This has sort of a double meaning for me. Its my pair of Bloch Gauchos.

After years of dance, I still find that I am most comfortable in some sort of dancewear (or something dance appropriate). I love these pants because they remind me that even though I may not be able to do ballet, that doesn't mean I'm not a dancer.

Now that I'm pregnant, I literally LIVE in these things. You know how your wardrobe is such a vital part of who you are? You have your favorite things. Your stand by pair of jeans that just fit so perfectly, that t-shirt you wear AT LEAST once a week cause you love it so much. Well, none of these things fit me now. While I am thrilled to be pregnant, and I can't wait (although I will, at least 10-12 more weeks!) until Webster gets here, my body is different. It's kinda like its not mine. So I can no longer wear the key pieces that make my wardrobe mine. Except my Bloch Gauchos. They are helping to remind me of me.

A Place:

This is another one from our honeymoon. Grand Cayman Island. I want to go back. This was the most beautiful beach I have ever been on in my life.

A Disney Princess:

I'm not a Disney fan. So I don't really identify with any of the Disney Princesses. But, since I have to pick, I choose Meg. She didn't simper at anyone.
